Optician - Experience Required!

Job Summary
Optician dispenses and fits glasses and contacts using prescriptions from Optometrists/Ophthalmologists; promotes frames and lenses to meet patient needs; adjust/repair glasses; verify medical/vision insurances; educate patients and communicate with doctors and managers; handle inquiries by phone, email, and in person; operate lensometers, recommend lens options, collect measurements (bridge, eye size, temple length, seg heights, vertex distance, pupillary distance, pantoscopic tilt); maintain inventory and assist with general office duties to support a world-class Total Patient Experience and maximize retail sales while addressing patients' medical needs.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- Optician experience is required
- Favorable result on background check
- Must be able to provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States
- Current ABO/ABOC and NCLE certifications (or obtained with first 2 years of employment) preferred, but not required
