Job Summary

Dispense and fit glasses and contact lens orders using prescriptions from optometrists and ophthalmologists. Assist patients in selecting frames based on style, color, and facial measurements while accurately collecting data such as pupillary distance and bridge size. Operate auto-lensometers and manual lensometers to educate clients on specific lenses, coatings, and frame options that suit their needs. Repair and adjust patient frames to ensure proper fit and comfort. This role supports the Total Patient Experience by connecting patient medical needs to available goods and services within a standard office or clinical setting. Travel to other locations may be required to carry out essential duties.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Favorable result on background check
  • Must be able to provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States
  • Minimum of 1 year in a position interacting with customers/patients or the equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull items up to 25 lbs
  • Strong fine motor skills and full use of hands
  • Visual and auditory acuity—including color, depth, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus
  • Ability to adjust focus
