Job Summary
Dispense and fit glasses and contact lenses from prescriptions written by optometrists/ophthalmologists; operate auto-lensometer and manual lensometer; collect measurements (bridge, eye size, temple length, seg heights, vertex distance, pupillary distance, pantoscopic tilt) and dispense orders; educate and recommend lenses, coatings, and frames to suit patient needs; assist patients in selecting frames and coordinating with facial measurements; travel to other locations as needed, in a standard office/clinical setting; prior medical office or ophthalmic experience and 1+ year of customer/patient interaction preferred; ABO and NCLE certifications preferred but not required; proficient with Microsoft Office products.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year in a position interacting with customers/patients
- Favorable result on background check as required by state
- Must be able to provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States
