Job Summary
Assist patients in selecting frames according to style and color, coordinate measurements with optical prescriptions, and dispense all glasses and contact lens orders. Operate auto-lensometer and manual lensometer to accurately collect bridge, eye size, temple length, and pupillary distance. Educate patients on specific lenses, coatings, and frames to suit their needs while repairing and adjusting frames. Determine patient wants and needs to exceed expectations and support the Total Patient Experience. High school diploma required; ABO and NCLE certifications preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 1 year in a position interacting with customers/patients or the equivalent combination of education and experience
- Favorable result on background check
- Must be able to provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Strong fine motor skills and full use of hands
- Visual and auditory acuity—including color, depth, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus
Desired Qualifications
- Previous medical office experience
- Previous ophthalmic experience
- ABO and NCLE certifications
