Job Summary
Optical Technician/Optician responsible for dispensing and fitting glasses and contact lenses based on prescriptions from Optometrists/Ophthalmologists, delivering the Total Patient Experience, and educating patients on lenses, coatings, and frames. Tasks include measuring facial and eye parameters, operating a lensometer, recommending suitable lenses and frames, dispensing orders, and assisting with patient needs in a medical office/optical setting. Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools is noted; ABO/NCLE certifications are preferred but not required. Travel to other locations may be required to perform essential duties.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 1 year in a position interacting with customers/patients or the equivalent combination of education and experience
- Favorable result on background check as required by state
- Must be able to provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States
