Job Summary
Dispense and fit glasses and contacts based on prescriptions from optometrists and ophthalmologists while assisting patients in selecting frames that match their facial measurements and style preferences. Accurately collect precise eye measurements including bridge, pupillary distance, and vertex distance, then operate auto-lensometers and manual lensometers to recommend specific lenses and coatings. Repair and adjust patient frames, educate clients on optical needs, and process all orders using current systems to maximize retail sales and support medical requirements. This role is part of EyeCare Partners' Total Patient Experience team, requiring full use of hands and strong visual acuity to deliver great medical support and build lasting relationships with all patients.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be able to provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States
- Favorable result on background check as required by state
- Minimum of 1 year in a position interacting with customers/patients or the equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong fine motor skills
- Full use of hands
- Visual and auditory acuity—including color, depth, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull items up to 25 lbs
- Constant grasping
