Job Summary
Independently run generating, polishing, and centering machine centers while operating inspection equipment such as microscopes, micrometers, height gages, and interferometers. Read and understand optical and traditional blueprints, then perform cleaning and cosmetic inspection of finished optics according to customer requirements. This summer internship from June to August includes a $25/hour rate at 40 hours per week plus a $1000/month housing stipend. Candidates must have successfully completed two semesters in an Associates Optics program and possess strong math skills, analytical problem-solving abilities, and good hand-eye coordination.
