Job Summary
Optical TAC Specialist needed to manage end-to-end resolution of network and service issues in the optical domain across domestic and APAC regions. Responsibilities include provisioning and activation of circuits, acting as Tier-3 escalation for incident handling, troubleshooting and problem management, collaborating with Global TAC teams, managing incidents across regional networks, performing software upgrades and maintenance to keep the network current, and coordinating with vendors to support operational continuity while maintaining network security and governance. The role requires 10+ years of experience in network operations/TAC, strong knowledge of optical transport technologies (DWDM, ROADM, OTN), and the ability to operate as an escalation point under pressure. The position offers flexible working hours with the option to work from home.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years experience in network operations, TAC, or technical support environments
- Basic English communication skills (written and verbal) for working in a global environment
- Strong knowledge of optical transport technologies (e.g., DWDM, ROADM, OTN)
- Hands-on experience in troubleshooting and resolving complex network and service issues
- Ability to act as an escalation point and manage incidents effectively under pressure in business hours and out of business hours
- Experience supporting circuit provisioning, activation, and service turn-up processes
- Familiarity with Service Assurance and problem management practices
- Experience performing software upgrades, maintenance, and network lifecycle management
- Vendor management experience and ability to coordinate with external partners
- Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and network optimization
