Job Summary
Optical Stylist role in SEE Eyewear boutique focused on high-touch, fashion-forward client experience. Responsibilities include selling eyewear, building long-term client relationships, meeting/exceeding sales goals and KPIs, partnering with teammates for team-sell, collaborating with an optometrist to ensure a seamless patient experience, becoming an expert on SEE frame collections and lens offerings, maintaining merchandising and visual standards, processing sales and insurance information using POS/practice management systems, handling daily operations (opening/closing, deposits), adhering to pricing/discount/remake/return policies, and staying vigilant about security. Requirements highlight night/weekend availability, potential licensing in certain states, ability to stand for up to 8 hours and lift up to 30 lbs, comfort with POS and insurance portals, and strong communication skills; prior retail optical experience is a plus but not required with training provided.
Required Qualifications
- Night & weekend availability required
- Retail optical experience preferred but not required—training provided
- Licensed dispensing optician or registered apprentice may be required in states with licensing laws (see Licensing Requirement above)
- Able to stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours) and lift up to 30 lbs
- Tech-savvy and comfortable using POS systems, insurance portals, Microsoft Office (including Excel), Teams, and OneDrive
- Strong communication skills and a proactive, team-focused mindset
