Job Summary
Provide excellent patient and customer service in the selection, ordering and dispensing of eyewear, including assisting with frame selection, lens options, and ensuring proper measurements and prescriptions. Responsibilities include pre-screening patients, preparing work orders for the optical lab, processing medical billing, maintaining frame inventory, and supporting the optometrist with histories and screenings. Requires on-site responsibilities in a retail optical environment with on-the-job training; certification through Shopko OCE and state licensing as needed. Strong communication, multitasking with customer interactions, and ability to work evenings/weekends are required. Entry-level role with training; position located in St. Cloud, MN.
Required Qualifications
- High School Graduate or equivalent
- Maintain license as required by state
- Shopko OCE Certification requirements and scheduling modules
- Previous experience in an office and/or optical dispensing is preferred
