Job Summary
Adjust and repair glasses, dispense orders in E360, and verify medical and vision insurances while facilitating patient flow. Promote frames and lenses recommended by doctors to meet patient needs, accurately collecting measurements for bridge, eye size, and pupillary distance. Educate patients on specific lenses, coatings, and frames, ensuring all job aids and policies are followed. Maintain frame standards through cleaning and organization of fully stocked areas, while answering inquiries via phone, email, and in person.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- Favorable result on Background Check
- Basic computer skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Excitement to learn and grow
- Must be able to provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States
- Minimum of 1 year in a position interacting with customers/patients or the equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret insurance forms
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
- HIPAA compliance
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull items up to 25 lbs
- Strong fine motor skills and full use of hands
- Visual and auditory acuity—including color, depth, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
Desired Qualifications
- Previous medical office experience
- Previous ophthalmic experience
- Current ABO/ABOC and NCLE certifications
