Job Summary

Required Qualifications

• •High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
• •Favorable result on Background Check
• •Basic computer skills
• •Strong customer service skills
• •Excitement to learn and grow
• •Must be able to provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States
• •Minimum of 1 year in a position interacting with customers/patients or the equivalent combination of education and experience
• •Current ABO/ABOC and NCLE certifications (or obtained with first 2 years of employment)
• •Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
• •Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull items up to 25 lbs
• •Strong fine motor skills and full use of hands
• •Visual and auditory acuity—including color, depth, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus—is required 100% of the time
• •Ability to read, analyze and interpret insurance forms
• •Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• •Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
• •Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
• •HIPAA compliance
• •Previous medical office experience preferred; previous ophthalmic experience strongly preferred
