Job Summary
Provide excellent patient and customer service in the selection, ordering and dispensing of eyewear. Assist patients with eyewear needs including analyzing prescriptions, repairs and adjustments; order and dispense eyewear accurately and professionally; help patients with contact lenses and frame selection; support the Optometrist with case histories and screenings; manage third-party plans and claims, and prepare work orders for the Optical Lab while maintaining frame inventory. Requires High School diploma or equivalent and state licensing/certification as applicable; on-the-job training provided; duties include processing medical billing information and operating optical equipment and cash register; flexible to work evenings, weekends, and travel as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School Graduate or equivalent
- Maintain license as required by state
- To become Certified, teammate must complete Shopko OCE Certification requirements and calendar modules
