Job Summary
Read blueprints and assembly drawings to develop and assemble high-precision opto-mechanical products. Troubleshoot, repair, reassemble, and test a mixture of optical and electro-optical components while adhering to established guidelines and standard work instructions. Fabricate hardware, equipment, tools, or prototypes from sketches, utilizing micrometers, calipers, and multi-meters to maintain high-tolerance specifications. Work independently on production assemblies and repairs, multi-tasking to keep work organized while identifying and correcting minor process, material, or design issues. Assist in maintaining productivity and efficiency to meet scheduled delivery dates and uphold compliance. Develop familiarity with hazardous chemicals by reading Material Safety Data Sheets.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years' experience
- Mechanically inclined with a curiosity and aptitude to learn
- Computer proficiency with the willingness to learn new technologies
- Ability to speak up as appropriate and escalate issues as required
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to maintain a high degree of flexibility and assist others as needed
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
