Job Summary
Design and develop illumination optics systems by translating product requirements into optical specifications, leading architecture selection, and optimizing designs to meet project specifications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on thermal, mechanical, and electronics aspects to ensure high-quality solutions, while applying latest research findings to engineering designs. Drive IP creation and protection, write development reports, and contribute to technology road mapping. Mentors team members on effective knowledge application and supports new concept exploration.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Optical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field
- 3+ years Experience in optical design and testing, with a focus in integrating optical solutions into engineering projects
- 3+ years experience in mechanical design
- Optical design software experience like Lighttools, Tracepro, SPEOS, Zemax, CodeV, etc
- Optical freeform design
- 3D model building
- independent mechanical design capability
- Knowledge optical material and process
- certification/knowledge of measurement equipment like Goniometer, Integrated sphere, etc
- Good interpersonal skills: active, open, motivational style
- skilled in both English and Chinese
