Job Summary
Optical Assistant responsible for Eye Photography to identify retina damage from diabetes as part of the Retinal Technicians team. No experience required; training provided. Role supports a national diabetic eye screening programme in Athlone and surrounding areas. Must possess a full clean Irish driving licence and be able to store the company vehicle. Requires IT literacy (Word, Excel, Microsoft Office), strong customer care orientation, proactive task prioritisation, problem-solving, excellent communication, and the ability to work largely unsupervised after training. Garda Vetting and right-to-work in the EU may be required; offers include company pension and an inclusive, equal-opportunities environment.
