Job Summary

Conduct performance-based operations training for Reactor Operator and Non-Licensed Operator personnel across classroom, laboratory, OJT, and simulator environments. Coordinate and evaluate trainee examinations while preparing individualized training programs based on counseling sessions and effectiveness reports. Maintain current training programs by incorporating data from INPO Significant Operating Experience Reports, NRC Bulletins, and internal event reports. Support business initiatives, refuel outage activities, and emergency preparedness duties while participating in NRC and INPO audits. Supervise auditable training records and maintain knowledge of plant operations and disciplinary techniques. Achieve Senior Reactor Operator certification within 18 months.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED with 6 years of related (e.g. test reactor, commercial, industrial, or military power plant operator) experience
  • Associate's degree in a technical discipline, education, or training with 4 years of related (e.g. test reactor, commercial, industrial, or military power plant operator) experience
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (chemical, civil/structural, electrical, industrial, mechanical or nuclear) or related science, education or training with 2 years of related (e.g. test reactor, commercial, industrial, or military power plant operator) experience
  • Maintain minimum access requirement or unescorted access requirements, as applicable, and favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties
  • Must achieve Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) certification within 18 months of assuming the position
  • Previous Equipment Operator with 6 years of related (e.g. test reactor, commercial, industrial, or military power plant operator) experience
  • Associate's degree in technical discipline, education, or training with 4 years of nuclear technical background or 6 years of related (e.g. test reactor, commercial, industrial, or military power plant operator) experience
  • Current or previous licensed Reactor Operator or SRO certification with 4 years of related (e.g. test reactor, commercial, industrial, or military power plant operator) experience
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (chemical, civil/structural, electrical, industrial, mechanical or nuclear) or related science, education or training with 3 years of nuclear technical background or 4 years of related (e.g. test reactor, commercial, industrial, or military power plant operator) experience
  • Current or previous SRO license

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in commercial nuclear training
  • Knowledge of and experience with the systematic approach to training (SAT)
