Job Summary
Design, coordinate, and deliver technical training programs for operations team members covering line locating, leak investigation, pressure testing, and gas measurement. Identify training needs, research materials, and create content related to compliance, safety, and quality while maintaining accurate records. Conduct instructor-led training and evaluations per Federal requirements for employees and contractors, monitor qualification expirations, and evaluate student performance. Provide technical assistance to operating divisions and outside agencies. Requires 4+ years in the gas industry, standard driver's license, and 30% travel to Dover, DE or service territories. Bachelor's degree preferred with 2+ years in coaching.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 4+ years of experience in the gas industry with a strong background in operations
- Standard driver's license
- Knowledge of gas operations, including construction, maintenance, distribution, and transmission systems
- Knowledge of principles, methods and techniques used for adult education
- Experience in training, mentoring, or instructing, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
- Strong presentation and interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrate organizational skills and ability to prioritize work to meet deadlines
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to travel (~30%)
- This role will be based at Safety Town located in Dover, DE but may need to travel throughout our service territories
