Job Summary
Greet patients and document information accurately while performing routine screening tests, vital signs, and procedures including phlebotomy, EKG, and lab specimen collection. Escort patients to treatment rooms, prepare them for examinations, and provide education on visits and procedures. Manage patient flow, complete EHR data entry, and handle outreach calls to patients and specialty offices as requested. Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control policies. Requires current MA Certificate, BLS/CPR certification, and one year of experience preferred. Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High School graduate, or equivalent
- Must have current MA Certificate from an accredited school
- Current BLS/CPR certification required
- Ability to maintain quality, safety, and / or infection control standards
- Knowledge of methods, procedures and protocols, including federal, state and local laws handling and disposal of hazardous biochemical waste products
- Communication skills (including appropriate medical terminology)
- Ability to use good reasoning and judgment to react calmly in emergency situations
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year experience is preferred; not required
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience preferred
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
