Ops Lead ES

Ops Lead oversees shift-level waste-handling operations at the Republic Services facility, directing duties for a crew, ensuring safety procedures are followed and training is provided. Responsibilities include coordinating activities of operations personnel, overseeing inventory and supplies, liaising with vendors/transporters/treatment facilities, maintaining proper storage/handling of process chemicals, directing off-loading and receipt into storage/waste processing systems, sampling and analyzing waste from inbound trucks, determining batch clearances for effluent, notifying maintenance needs, reviewing RCRA manifests, and training staff on processing procedures. The role may substitute for workers during absences and participate in emergency response operations on- and off-site. Strong emphasis on safety, regulatory compliance, and ability to manage multiple responsibilities. Preferred knowledge areas include personnel management, waste processing techniques, receiving/purchasing/work orders, special licenses, and DOT training; a valid driver’s license or CDL may be required for some positions.
