Job Summary
IT Support professional for BBVA Hong Kong Branch responsible for 1st line technical support for CIB applications and infrastructure, troubleshooting IT incidents, maintaining workplace asset inventories, coordinating with global IT and external vendors, and ensuring adherence to security policies, regulatory requirements, and audit standards. Responsibilities include system upgrades, patches, migrations, documentation, and participation in Business Continuity Plan drills, with emphasis on high availability, performance, and accurate technical documentation. Requirements include 5+ years of relevant experience, strong networking/servers/storage/databases/cybersecurity knowledge, English communication skills, and relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA A+, ITIL, Microsoft Certified).
Required Qualifications
- Background in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, preferably within the financial services industry
- Strong knowledge of networking, servers, storage, databases, and cybersecurity fundamentals
- Knowledge with market data platforms e.g. Bloomberg terminal is an advantage
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting abilities with a customer-centric approach
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified, ITIL, CCNA or other relevant certifications (preferred)
