Job Summary
Dental Assistant position providing direct patient care in the DeSoto County Health Department under supervision of a Dentist and Dental Assistant Supervisor. Performs four-handed dentistry, dental charting, treatment plan interpretation, and uses Dentrix/Dexis/HMS software. Maintains sensitive patient information per DOH policies; may cover at other locations including evenings. Requires certification of dental expanded duties and Florida radiation safety certification; may require emergency/duties outside standard hours. Strong communication, teamwork, and patient interaction skills; ability to discuss treatment plans with patients; proficiency with dental software and instrument sterilization/maintenance. Arcadia, FL.
Required Qualifications
- Certification of dental expanded duties for the State of Florida Radiation safety certification
