Job Summary
The Customs Compliance Specialist ensures bonded goods are received and stored in bonded cages per customs regulations, maintains security/ordering of bonded cages, coordinates with the CASR system, and tracks inventory using FIFO. Responsibilities include ensuring proper retention of customs paperwork, liaising with customs, the airline’s broker, and account managers on bonded goods and customs matters, and leading clerks in the bonded cage while monitoring productivity. The role requires accuracy in customs paperwork, adherence to timelines for export of bonded goods, and supporting continuous program improvements in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or G.E.D
- Minimum 2 years of general work experience
- Experience in inventory management and Customs regulations is preferred
- In-flight catering experience is highly desired
- Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
- Ability to work in a unionized environment
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
