Job Summary
College Prep Tutors work with students enrolled in Santa Fe remedial courses such as Remedial Writing, Reading, and Math. Responsibilities include motivating student-athletes, complying with UAA, NCAA, and UF rules, attending mandatory trainings, and effectively communicating with supervisors and students. Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree, be at least 18 years old, and possess skills in time management and academic support in remedial subjects. Preferred qualifications include specific endorsements and certifications.
Required Qualifications
- Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
- A Bachelor's degree or higher in English, Math, Education or related area
- Ability to engage effectively with others of diverse cultures or backgrounds
- Knowledge in the area(s) of Developmental Writing, Reading, or Math
- Good time management skills with attention to detail when completing paperwork/tutoring reports
- Must be able to work a non-standard work schedule
Desired Qualifications
- Reading Endorsement
- Certification in Reading, English, or Math
- Experience in teaching or tutoring math-specific or English-specific courses at the elementary through post-secondary level
