Job Summary
This position provides administrative assistance and supports the Alligator Management Program, with a special focus on administrative needs of the hunting and farming programs. The incumbent is expected to perform duties including answering telephone calls and emails, relay messages, preparing reports, tracking office property, processing mail, printing/scanning, preparing letters and memoranda, processing personnel paperwork, proofreading materials, maintaining office supplies, taking notes and meeting summaries, making travel arrangements, communicating with staff and stakeholders, data entry, and performing other related duties. Requires knowledge of general office procedures, customer service, skilled use of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat) and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment; strong written/verbal communication and organizational abilities are essential. The role is contingent upon a satisfactory criminal history check and may involve drug testing per state policy.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma and five years of professional experience in administrative work. A bachelor’s degree can substitute for four of the five years’ experience.
