Job Summary
Conduct visual acuity measurements, refractometry, tonometry, and pupil reactivity tests. Perform visual field testing, corneal topography, retinal thickness analysis, and fluorescein angiography. Assist ophthalmologists with A and B-scan ultrasonography, contact lens fitting, patient instruction, and in-office surgical procedures. Collect medical histories and support patient transfers while maintaining proper body mechanics. This role is based in Lyndhurst, Ohio, within a physician-owned team focused on improving community healthcare services.
Required Qualifications
- Experience with both contact lenses and glasses
- Excellent customer service and sales skills
- Dexterity and technical skills
- High School diploma
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds of supplies
- Must be able to use appropriate body mechanics techniques when making necessary patient transfers and helping patients with walking, dressing, etc.
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year of experience a plus
