Job Summary
Assist physicians in ophthalmologic examinations, procedures, and treatments while scribing electronic medical records and compiling patient histories. Perform visual acuity, intraocular pressure, and advanced imaging tests including OCT and corneal topography. Administer dilating agents, set up laser treatments, and prepare patients for minor clinic surgeries and postoperative care. Manage clinical equipment, prepare pathology specimens, and maintain a clean, stocked examining room.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)
- Successful completion of ophthalmic pharmacology exam
- Certification(s) and License(s)
- Communication
- Computer Literacy
- Epic Knowledge
