Job Summary

Ophthalmology Sales Manager responsible for promoting and selling Topcon’s Diagnostic and Refractive instrument platform within Illinois (territory includes Chicago). Travel at least 50% within the territory and attend local/national trade shows (including weekends). Build knowledge of clinical and technical applications of products and stay current on advances. Develop an annual business plan aligned to quarterly/annual quotas; execute territory planning to prospect, develop accounts, obtain orders, and meet sales goals. Conduct instrument demonstrations weekly, tailor presentations to customer needs, and maintain high-quality account profiles in CRM. Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to uncover opportunities and promote Topcon Healthcare. Requires a Bachelor's Degree (preferred) and experience selling capital equipment into ophthalmology settings. Must reside in Chicago with up to 25-50% overnight travel and the ability to work remotely; base pay around $100,000 with additional incentives and benefits.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Experience with selling capital equipment into ophthalmology practices, ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs), hospital systems, integrated delivery networks (IDNs), government and national accounts is preferred
  • Business to Business Sales experience that demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of the sales process and ethical business practices
  • C-level call points and demonstration of strategic selling skills strongly preferred
  • Evidence of top performance in prior sales roles
  • Understanding of Health insurance and Payers strongly preferred
  • Strong presentation skills, business acumen, and leadership qualities
  • Negotiation, conflict resolution, and presentation skills
  • A strong client-focused mindset
  • Must reside in Chicago; willing to travel overnight 25-50%
  • Ability to work remotely

  • Base Pay: $100,000 annualized
