Job Summary
Diagnose and treat a wide range of eye diseases and conditions, including performing necessary surgical procedures with pre- and post-operative examinations. Provide health education, counseling, and preventive care while initiating laboratory, radiology, and pathology exams as needed. Exercise clinical judgment to establish care priorities and consult with specialists for high-risk or complex patients. Foster a collaborative work environment and participate in Quality Improvement programs and case management with the broader healthcare team.
Required Qualifications
- Medical Degree from an Accredited University
- Ability to obtain a New York license
- Board Certification or Board Eligible in Ophthalmology
- Active DEA license
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- Demonstrated professional competence and integrity and ethical conduct of practice
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
