Job Summary
Obtain medical histories, administer diagnostic tests, and measure and record vision for patients. Administer eye medications, assist the ophthalmologist in office surgical procedures, and set up, stock, and equip exam and procedure rooms. Sterilize and clean rooms and equipment after each use, maintain optical and surgical instruments, and notify patients of test results as instructed. Coordinate patient scheduling, assist patients from the waiting room to the exam room, and answer incoming calls while covering surgeries as needed. Work 40 hours weekly from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm with occasional overtime.
