Job Summary
Engage in peer-to-peer scientific dialogue with healthcare professionals to translate insights while serving as a therapeutic expert. Establish, cultivate, and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders to advance scientific and medical knowledge. Plan and execute medical strategies for assigned customers by communicating clinical data through presentations and educational programs. Serve as the primary resource for addressing unsolicited medical questions and document field-generated scientific insights to drive innovative strategies. Maintain a robust clinical knowledge base through continuous learning and collaborate with internal colleagues to share medical expertise. This field-based role requires 3+ years of Medical Science Liaison experience, an advanced degree in life sciences, and willingness to travel 60–80%.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced degree (e.g., PharmD, PhD, MD, NP, PA, OD or equivalent in life sciences)
- 3+ years of prior Medical Science Liaison experience
- Deep scientific knowledge and genuine passion for ophthalmology
- Ability to interpret and communicate complex clinical and scientific data
- Strong presentation, communication, and collaboration skills
- Willingness to travel up to 60–80% within assigned territory
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel by car and air
