Ophthalmology Assistant Instructor

Job Summary
Teach assigned courses in a hybrid format, including monitoring online activity for students. Create and oversee laboratory days, and ensure student placement in externship settings while reviewing required paperwork. Update or create courses within the assigned program and assess student learning across online and residential settings. Monitor attendance, grades, and progress indicators while ensuring compliance with state, federal, and accrediting standards. Review curriculum and textbooks with instructors, program managers, and the advisory board. Assist with student advising and meet other assigned duties.
Required Qualifications
- M-F 8am–5pm , some weekends and evening may be required
- Associates Degree
- Minimum three years' experience as Ophthalmology Technician, Optometrist, or Ophthalmologist
- Current Certification as an Ophthalmology Technician, Ophthalmology Medical Technician, Ophthalmic Assistant, Optometrist, or Ophthalmologist
- Ability to present a professional image and act as a role model
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to meet deadlines
