Ophthalmologist Needed for Locum Tenens Coverage at Facility in North Carolina

Job Summary
Provide inpatient and outpatient ophthalmology coverage on 24-hour shifts, evaluating all hospital and ED consults including the surgical treatment of trauma with anticipated volumes of 5-8 patients per day. Required procedures include repair of ruptured globe, repair of eyelid lacerations, and removal of corneal foreign bodies. Clinicians must remain within 20 minutes of the medical center while on call; no ICU or critical care duties are required, and code response is not expected for this assignment. EPIC EMR training is preferred. This health system provides trauma-related eye care and ED consultation coverage with established protocols to support quality eye care delivery for the community served.
