Job Summary
Ophthalmologist sought to join Mercy Medical Group in a clinic setting. Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive eye examinations, performing cataract surgery and related procedures (femtosecond laser for cataract surgery, MIGS, lasers for iridotomies, capsulotomies, and SLT), prescribing and managing medications, and counseling patients on eye health and treatment options. Collaborate with optometrists and primary care physicians for coordinated patient care; stay updated with ophthalmology advancements and participate in continuing education.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited medical school
- Board certification or eligibility in Ophthalmology
- Active medical license to practice in California
- Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication with patients and colleagues
- Dedication to high-quality patient care with compassion and empathy
- Detail-oriented and organized with excellent time management
- Willingness to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team
