Job Summary
Ophthalmologist needed to join Mercy Medical Group in the Sacramento region (Folsom). Conduct comprehensive eye examinations, perform cataract surgery including femtosecond laser, MIGS, and associated laser procedures (pterygium, iridotomy, capsulotomy, SLT), prescribe and manage medications, provide patient counseling on eye health and treatment options, and collaborate with optometrists and primary care physicians to ensure coordinated care. Stay current with ophthalmology advancements and participate in continuing education; offers a two-year guaranteed salary with potential partnership track.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school
- Board certification or eligibility in Ophthalmology
- Active medical license to practice in the state of California
