Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and diagnose/treat eye conditions; perform cataract-related surgeries (including femtosecond laser cataract surgery, MIGS, pterygium, lasers for iridotomies, capsulotomies, SLT); prescribe and manage treatments; advise patients on eye health and preventive measures; collaborate with optometrists and primary care physicians; stay current with ophthalmology advancements and pursue continuing education; compensation includes a two-year guaranteed salary with partnership track potential in a large, multi-specialty California-based group.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school
- Board certification or eligibility in Ophthalmology
- Active medical license to practice in the state of California
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues
- Dedication to high-quality patient care with compassion and empathy
- Detail-oriented and organized with excellent time management skills
- Willingness to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team environment
