Job Summary

Conduct thorough preliminary examinations including visual acuity and pupillary responses, and administer advanced diagnostics such as OCT, perimetry, and ophthalmic photography. Assist ophthalmologists during minor surgeries, laser procedures, and crosslinking while gathering comprehensive patient information for accurate diagnoses. Streamline patient flow in clinic and imaging rooms, collaborate with clinical staff, and perform clinical and administrative tasks to ensure smooth workflows. Work closely with our ophthalmologists to deliver personalized treatment plans in a supportive, multi-specialty environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Proven experience as an Ophthalmic Technician.
  • Knowledge of medical office procedures.
  • Ability to perform indirect activities, administrative tasks and any other assigned duties that contribute to the efficient & high-quality performance of the medical practice.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must be available for up to 40 hours per week M-F 8:30AM to 5:00PM and occasional Saturday in AM.
  • Must be able to travel to Randolph.

Desired Qualifications

  • Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) Certification.
