Job Summary

Conduct initial history taking and record presenting complaints, ocular history, medications, and allergies for patients. Obtain and document visual acuity, refraction, color testing, lensometry, and intraocular pressure. Perform ancillary testing including visual fields, corneal topography, HRT, OCT A and B scans, and fundus photography. Serve as the first line of contact in the exam room by communicating with patients, staff, and medical providers. Work per die covering absences with a salary range of $24.61 to $30.75 based on experience and education.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • One (1) year of full-time experience working in an Ophthalmology practice
  • Full working knowledge and hands on experience with Visual Fields, Corneal Topography, IOL, OCT, A/B Scans, Fundus and External Photography, and Manifest Refractions
  • Must be able to exchange accurate information when communicating with patients, staff and medical providers

Desired Qualifications

  • Associates and/or Bachelor's degree
  • Additional years of experience working in Ophthalmology multi-specialty practice
  • Experience working with Electronic Medical Records
  • Ophthalmic Certification
