Job Summary
Assist providers in performing clinical functions including ophthalmic procedures, room flow, and status communication to the patient and provider. Take and document patients' medical histories, ensure patients understand all instructions, and operate ophthalmic equipment. Sterilize instruments and maintain ophthalmic instruments or equipment. This role offers on-the-job training to support career growth across diverse optical cases and partnerships with surgeons and physicians. Required Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology
- Problem-solving math skills
- Knowledgeable with Microsoft Office Suite or G-Suite
- Effectively work in a team environment
- Demonstrated multitasking and adaptability
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Comfortable with communication via phone, internet, and in-person
- Ability to maintain and follow HIPAA procedures and policies
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Desired Qualifications
- One (1) year experience as an ophthalmic assistant preferred
