Job Summary
Ophthalmic Technician at Southgate Surgery Center (PRN). Assists ophthalmologists with patient care, monitors vital signs, maintains aseptic technique, handles sterilization and inventory, assists with pre- and post-op instructions, and supports laser procedures. Requires initiative, team orientation, positive work environment, ability to work weekends when applicable, and reliable transportation to multiple locations as needed. Proficiency in documenting results and interacting professionally with staff and patients is essential.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- One year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Current COA or COT certification preferred but not required
