Ophthalmic Technician

Greet patients and visitors courteously while obtaining histories and transcribing physician dictations into the electronic health record. Perform visual acuity, autorefraction, lensometry, tonometry, and visual field testing in accordance with established guidelines. Escort patients to appropriate areas, assist physicians with supplies, and determine if further testing is needed. Clean and sterilize equipment, maintain autoclaves, and stock supplies on an ongoing basis. Review patient charts, post results, and check medication expiration dates. Demonstrate ability to work with geriatric and all age groups while ensuring compliance with safety rules. Regular travel to satellite locations may be required.
