Job Summary
Ophthalmic Technician to support doctors and ensure a smooth patient experience by handling pre-exam work, gathering patient information, performing routine vision tests, applying eye drops, collecting/processing specimens, triaging emergencies, prepping rooms, and assisting during procedures. Maintain equipment and follow infection control protocols. Requires strong verbal and written communication, a patient-focused attitude, dependable problem solving under pressure, and a flexible team-player mindset. Knowledge of ocular pharmacology is a plus. Must be able to stand, walk, sit, and occasionally lift up to 10 lbs.
