Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive work-ups for potential patients by obtaining medical and surgical histories and completing all diagnostic testing. Perform deft auto refractions, topographical mapping, wavefront analysis, and visual acuity measurements while evaluating pupil responses and using a slit lamp microscope. Assist surgeons in exam lanes and procedures by preparing laser rooms, sterilizing equipment, and providing pre/post-operative care and instructions. Maintain outcome data, ensure all forms are complete, and proactively stock medications and supplies. Order medical supplies and manage regular and emergency maintenance on equipment including the LASIK suite. Call to request pre/post-ops for surgery patients and assist in other areas as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
