Job Summary
Test patient acuity, perform OCT and FAF imaging, and enter results into the EMR while scribing exam data. Obtain consents, verify insurance, collect co-pays, and manage cash reconciliation. Open and close exam rooms, sterilize equipment, and maintain drug and supply inventory across multiple Bay Area locations. Travel between offices as needed to support physicians with numbing, rinsing, and procedure setup. Obtain authorizations for procedures or injections and assist with clinical trials when directed.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum high school diploma
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position for 50% of scheduled shift or more
- Must be able to frequently move about the office to direct patients, access office supplies, and equipment
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to communicate with patients to convey necessary medical and financial information
- Must be able to document accurately in EMR and practice management system
- Travel between 3 home offices Pleasanton/ Antioch/ Tracy
- Periodic travel to other clinic locations as needed
- OSHA Classification Category I. Job duties include exposure to blood, bodily fluids, or tissues
Desired Qualifications
- One year of past medical clinic experience preferred but not required
- College degree or continuing education courses desirable
