Job Summary
Responsibilities include assisting and performing patient testing during pre-operative and post-operative exams, completing patient charts, and learning diagnostic skills (lensometry, autorefraction, pupillometry, fundus photography, corneal topography and tomography, OCT, biometry, higher-order aberration testing). Provide support for patient communication and deliver excellent customer service. Eligibility requires enrollment in an optician program or Bachelor of Science program (OMT students welcome). Internship is 8 weeks, ~32 hours/week, with full training; locations include Calgary (Alberta) and Ottawa (Ontario) with French proficiency required for Quebec, New Brunswick, and Ottawa locations.
