Job Summary

Obtain and document patient history, determine visual acuity, and perform diagnostic testing. Administer eye drops, ointments, and irrigating solutions as ordered by the physician. Measure intraocular pressure (tonometry), perform pre-operative patient preparation, and maintain equipment and instruments. Enter data into EMR and provide general patient services. This high-volume retina-only practice specializes in advanced care for retinal conditions like macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy.

Required Qualifications

  • Dependable transportation required to travel to other offices as required
  • Must be flexible with traveling to various locations
  • Graduation from an accredited high school

Desired Qualifications

  • 2 to 3 years of ophthalmic or optometric technician experience preferred
  • COA preferred
