Job Summary
Review patient charts for accuracy, perform clinical tests ordered by physicians, and act as a medical scribe entering data into electronic records. Take ocular and systemic histories, record visual acuity, administer topical or oral medications under physician direction, and assist with simple in-office procedures while ensuring informed consent. Maintain exam room cleanliness, report inventory needs, and participate in daily team huddles. Report potential errors to supervisors or the Compliance Officer. Complete additional tasks as needed while maintaining a professional attitude.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or the equivalent years related experience
- Nextech/ICP experience
- Ophthalmic and/or optometric technician experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment
