Ophthalmic Technician

Job Summary
Ophthalmic Technician supports the ophthalmologist by handling preliminary testing, facilitating patient flow, and assisting with patient care. Responsibilities include performing diagnostic tests (dilation, refraction, visual fields, OCT, GDX, IOL master, auto refractor, and topography), recording data in the EMR, verifying patient information, and communicating with patients, doctors, and managers. The role requires strong customer service, HIPAA compliance, willingness to learn and grow, and the ability to work with a team in a clinic setting. The position is full-time with potential early/late hours; requires a high school diploma or GED and a background check. Knowledge of eye anatomy and ocular medications, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office and EMR systems, is preferred. The organization emphasizes professional patient care, efficiency, and adherence to policies.
Required Qualifications
