Job Summary
Ophthalmic Technician / Medical Assistant to assist ophthalmologist during eye-care visits. Responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, maintaining aseptic technique, handling contaminated items, stocking and inventory of surgical supplies, checking equipment, assisting in pre-op and post-op activities, supporting laser procedures, documenting results, and ensuring patient and co-worker safety. Role emphasizes teamwork, patient care, and ongoing education; must be able to work over 40 hours and on weekends as needed. Training provided. Located at Southgate, MI with duties across the EyeCare Partners network.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- One year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
