Job Summary
Ophthalmic Technician supporting ophthalmologists by performing initial testing to prepare patients for exams. Responsibilities include patient greeting and service, assisting with flow of the clinic, HIPAA-compliant data collection, recording medical history and current medications in EMR, performing diagnostic tests (dilation, refraction, pressures, visual fields, OCT, GDX, IOL Master, auto refractor, topography), maintaining eye-care equipment and room readiness, and ensuring accurate documentation of visits and procedures. Requires knowledge of eye anatomy and ocular medications, strong organizational and communication skills, ability to work across multiple locations, and readiness to work over 40 hours with possible weekend shifts. Education: high school diploma or GED plus at least one year of related experience/training; COA/COT certification is preferred but not required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and EMR systems, plus physical ability to perform required tasks and lift up to 25 lbs. EyeCare Partners emphasizes equal opportunity employment.
